Coming out of Lockdown
The SEC has issued guidelines for coming out of lockdown phase 2 not currently expected to start any earlier than 18 June.
At the Phase 2 stage, it is only going to be possible to open churches for private prayer and small funerals.
(Public worship will not recommence until Phase 3 or 4).
But, as you can imagine, in the current situation even opening for private prayer is not going be straightforward.
I have asked all vestry members to take look at the documents and give me their comments. Just because we can open for private prayer does not mean that we have to; and if we do, we will have to conform with the guidelines.
For those who are interested in reading the documents they can be found at www.scotland.anglican.org/guidance-for-scottish-episcopal-church-released-in-preparation-for-phase-2-of-easing-lockdown/
I would like to hear from anyone about their views on the Phase 2 options and guidelines.
