Opening Churches for Worship

We have now moved into the 3rd Phase of coming out of lockdown.

This means that places of worship can once again open for public worship. This doesn’t mean that every place of worship will be open for worship immediately, preparations have to be made, the appropriate paperwork completed and the Bishop’s approval given, to ensure a cautious, careful, and as safe as possible approach.

Things will not be the same as before lock-down – hand sanitisers at the entrance and the exit, some pews unable to be used, and limited numbers depending on the building size in order to ensure social distancing is maintained. These are just a few examples.

I am pleased to say we are beginning a phased approach to reopening the churches in the grouping for worship.

Gordon Chapel will open for a service of Holy Communion each Sunday at 10:00am.
