The Service of Nine Lessons and Carols was held in Gordon Chapel on Sunday evening 18th December at 7pm. The church was decorated with lots of candles, lanterns and the Christmas Tree, donated by Gordon Castle Estate was brightly lit. This ecumenical service was well attended by worshippers from the local churches.
Janet led the service, Jeff played the organ and Amy brought her young musicians to provide that extra touch. Refreshments were provided after the service and a lot of happy get togethers took place. It was a lovely warm and friendly service helping to take us on our journey in Advent towards Christmas. A collection was taken for the work of The Salvation Army which raised over £90.
Here is a photograph taken by Jeff, of Gordon Chapel from Fochabers Square just before the service, showing some of the lovely lights in the trees on this mellow winter evening.
