About Us

Welcome to The Church of St Elizabeth at Gordon Chapel

Gordon Chapel is one of more than three hundred churches in the Scottish Episcopal Church. We hope that you find here something of the love and peace of God. Gordon Chapel is in the United Diocese of Moray, Ross and Caithness, one of the seven dioceses of the Scottish Episcopal Church. We greatly value our heritage and maintain a fully catholic sacramental and liturgical life.

Gordon Chapel is located in Castle Street, Fochabers and is a vibrant, friendly and welcoming place.  In addition to our regular worship, we also hold a variety of social and community events such as concerts (organised by the Friends of Gordon Chapel), coffee mornings, car boot sales and open days.

We are working increasingly closely with the other churches in and around Fochabers, particularly the Bellie and Speymouth Parish churches and St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church.

There is a Speaker and a Loop system installed in the church which, with a video link is joined to the Parish Room downstairs. For those who have difficulty climbing stairs the  Parish Room is used for services so that they may join with the congregation upstairs, hearing and seeing all that takes place and receiving communion.  It is also used for the Wednesday afternoon communion service.   See other sections for more information about  Gordon Chapel and St Elizabeth.
